ISRAEL BONAN

Chairman of the Justice and Redress Committee

of the Historical Society of Jews from Egypt

and Committee Member of JIMENA

(Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa), Boston Chapter

Israel Bonan, currently an Adjunct Lecturer at Simmons College, will share with us the moving story of his deportation with his family from Egypt at the start of the Six Day War. His experience of a modern day expulsion of 850,000 Jews from Arab countries, echoes the past and gives perceptive insights into the present.

This Shabbat dinner is a wonderful opportunity to invite your friends to join you for services and dinner at Beth El. It is a wonderful Shabbat treat to host a dinner away from home. If you can join us for dinner, please fill out the form below and mail it to the office with your check no later than Tuesday, March 13. (We do hope you will join us for Shabbat services or our program, even if you are unable to attend the dinner). We suggest that you feed your children prior to the services so that they will not be hungry.
